How the INTO Manchester route works. INTO Manchester is an “INTO Choice” study centre, which means you do not commit to one university before you start. You study your pathway programme in Manchester, then progress to a degree at one of 35+ NCUK universities — the University of Bristol among them — once you successfully complete the programme and meet the university’s entry requirements. You do not study the pathway on Bristol’s own campus; you move to Bristol for your degree.

Your starting point depends on your current qualifications and the level you want to study. Each programme is designed in partnership with NCUK and combines academic subjects with English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and study-skills support.

Via Master’s Preparation (entry to a postgraduate degree)
The pre-master’s route has supported progression to Bristol in business-related areas such as Accounting & Finance, Business & Management, Marketing, and Sport / Leisure Management and Logistics. Bristol is among the more selective NCUK destinations, so it generally expects a high EAP grade and a strong (often Distinction-level) result in the research module.

Studying in Manchester first
You complete your pathway in Manchester — a UK top-4 and world top-40 student city (QS Best Student Cities 2026) — before moving to Bristol. Manchester is well connected: London is about two hours away by train, with Leeds, Liverpool, Birmingham, Sheffield and York all within easy reach.
